One fateful day sitting with friends, an idea took root, and with much hard work, over the next six years that dream became reality. The pleasure found in beautiful everyday treasures such as linen and dishes, and the joy of using gifts with sentimental importance helped to create one of the most unique destinations in the Adirondacks of New York.
The Woodland was the ultimate way to express gratitude to everyone who contributed to the dream.
Margot had always enjoyed baking, but even more so, watching the enjoyment others found in tasting her creations. The combination of her upbringing, multicultural background, and worldly adventures helped shape The Woodland's cuisine into a wonderful blend of cultural tastes, with influences from all across the world. Margot's delights have been taking people to far off places since she first started baking as a child with her mother.
